We've updated and evolved our systems to provide a better, more streamlined New York Fries experience and this change impacts any Fry Society® accounts with money loaded. On September 1, 2025, we are converting all Fry Society® cash balances remaining on your Fry Society® account to a FREE menu item reward (excluding large size poutine). This specific Free Menu Item reward has no expiry date and can be redeemed at any New York Fries® location that participated in the Fry Society® reward program.

If you currently have a cash balance on your account, feel free to spend it, by September 1, 2025. On September 1, we will be converting your cash balance to menu item rewards, using the conversion table below:

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to my current rewards and points after September 1? Absolutely nothing. If you currently have rewards and/or points on your account, they will remain on your account after September 1, 2025 or until you use them.
How quickly do I need to use my converted menu item rewards? Good news! There's NO EXPIRY on the converted free menu item reward loaded into your account. Other rewards, however DO have expiry dates and they are noted on the reward.
Why are you doing this? Our existing Fry Society system and store operating system has been running successfully for a very long time, but we were overdue for an update. We're currently updating all our systems, so that we can bring you even better, more exciting features in the near future!
Will the conversion from cash to menu item give me the same value? Actually, in most cases, this conversion gives you even better value! We are rounding-up your cash balance to the nearest $5 and giving you a free menu item reward as the equivalent! For example, if you have a $5.71 balance, you will receive 2 menu item rewards!
Do I need to do anything to claim my menu item rewards? Nope! We do all the heavy-lifting on our end! After September 1, 2025, our team will convert dollar balances using the table above, and you'll see the rewards show up automatically in your Fry Society® account.
Can I opt-out of balance conversion? Unfortunately, we've got to say no this time. We want to ensure you are still receiving the same value or better and unfortunately, opting out is currently not an option.
What counts as an eligible menu reward item? We've kept this nice and easy! You can choose ANY Single menu item on the menu you like, excluding large size poutines and combos. So go ahead and claim regular size fries and poutines and loaded dogs... it's up to you!
Can I use the Free Menu Rewards for delivery apps? Like always, Fry Society rewards are only accepted in participating stores and cannot be redeemed with delivery platforms
Can I use all my Free Menu Item rewards at one time? Kind of... our cash register system will only allow for 1 Fry Society redemption per transaction. However, if you ask nicely and are willing to break up your order into multiple transactions, we should be able to accomodate this! However we recommend saving these rewards for whenever a poutine craving hits as they don't expire!
My Fry Society® account balance doesn't seem to ever change, is there a fix? Yes! We suggest removing the digital card and adding it again. If that doesn't work, try this: 1. Click on the 3 small dots in the top right corner and choose "Pass Detail". 2. Toggle "OFF" automatic updates. 3. Push the card down for a manual update. 4. Toggle back "ON" for automatic updates. 5. Push card down for a manual update.
